That’s the title of Paul David Tripp’s new book, it’s 52 meditations on Psalm 27. Here’s a video promoting the book which is one of the best book promotion videos I’ve seen. It convinced my to buy it. I should be getting it next week and I’ll let you know what I think:(via)I also bought “Jesus and the Eyewitnesses: The Gospels As Eyewitness Testimony” by Richard Bauckham, I plan to read it when I finish my poetry and wisdom final. I have a lot of reading to do to prepare for the final but I also have a lot of time, almost a month since I don’t have a paper due or have to study for any Hebrew quizzes. That leaves me free to spend the time reading the material for the class and there’s a lot of material to read, 1 or 2 articles per wisdom book and 9 for the Psalms, plus a book that covers everything.Another book that I bought for the end of the semester is one that I’ve wanted to read since my Old Testament History and Theology 1 class. It’s N.T. Wright’s “Climax of the Covenant: Christ and the Law in Pauline Theology.” I bought it from Amazon for the Kindle app on my iTouch. I also bought a couple of novels which took me all day yesterday to find! I think the next time I want to load up my iTouch with novels, I’ll go to the bookstore and look. I think it’s much easier than sitting there all day waiting for the page to reload.
