Obama tried to run an attack ad which accuse McCain of failing to do anything about finding alternatives to oil but the station that broadcasts on the TV monitors on gas pumps in Florida refused the ads. The Obama camp sees self-interest behind the decision:

The company issued a statement saying it does not run political ads. The Obama campaign distributed e-mails that suggest GSTV accepted the ad and then reneged, and charged that the company “will not run ads that are damaging to oil companies.”

Well, no duh! Of course they aren’t going to run an ad that’s against their self-interest. They have a vested interest in the oil companies being able to sell gas, what would the Gas Station TV network do if there were no gas stations?
