So, what’s stopping people from buying their Cascade over the Internet or going to another state to purchase it? According to this report it’s illegal to sell not buy:

Detergent products, including major brands such as Electrasol and Cascade, will be removed from the shelves in some counties as the state begins implementing a ban making it illegal to sell or distribute dishwashing detergents containing more than 0.5 percent phosphorus.

None of the leading dishwasher detergents are lower than 0.5, here’s a list and the lowest is Palmolive Gel at 1.6. Cascade isn’t the worst, it only has 4.0.
There are phosphate free products on the market, so I guess they’ll begin stocking those. Anyone using them and have suggestions for a good brand? Maybe I’ll check out our local organic store and see what brands they have.
