OMH! I just found out he’s dead. I can’t believe it! He was so young. What a terrible time for him to die, he was probably enjoying the election and being a pretty big part of the action. He may have been in the tank for the left but he was an interesting interviewer who occasionally asked tough questions (usually of the Republicans):

Tim Russert, the Democratic operative turned NBC commentator who revolutionized Sunday morning television and infused journalism with his passion for politics, died this afternoon.

Russert, 58, collapsed while recording voiceovers for his Sunday morning interview program, NBC reported. He was initially reported to have suffered a heart attack while working in his office on Washington’s Nebraska Avenue, but the network said later only that he was “stricken at the bureau” and subsequently died. Further details were not immediately available.

I’m going to miss him.
Who can replace him on Meet the Press? Certainly not Matthews are Olberman, those guys are so far left that there is no way they would ever be able to give even the appearance of objectivity.
