Here is proof that Hamas will not recognize Israel’s right to exist. You know what will happen in that ten year period. They will build up their weapons and army to prepare to attack Israel. Anyone with half a brain can see this. This is all that Carter got when he met with Hamas — bupkis! And it isn’t even close to being enough for Israel to trust them:

The leader of the Palestinian group Hamas has said that if the establishment of a Palestinian state is recognized including Gaza and the West Bank, Hamas is prepared to offer a 10-year truce with Israel.

In an interview with Kyodo News on Saturday in the Qatari capital Doha, Khaled Meshaal said that while Hamas’ position “is not to recognize Israel,” he indicated that a Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders may in the future recognize Israel’s right to exist.
When asked how this relates to Hamas’ charter that calls for the destruction of Israel, he said, “We in Hamas accept a state on the borders of 1967, but without recognizing Israel. Instead, we are offering a 10-year truce.”
He laid out three conditions for a Palestinian state — Israel’s retreating to its pre-1967 borders, full sovereignty for Palestinians, and the right of return of Palestinian refugees.
