Christian pro-life and justice groups will promote Sanctity of Human Life Month during the Life and Justice Conference on Jan. 22 in Colorado Springs. I’ll be speaking at the conference, and I urge you to join us in person or online for this important event.

My session starts at 9:45am Mountain Time on Saturday.  You can watch online, for free, at this page: WATCH THE WEB SIMULCAST

The groups, which include Focus on the Family, New Life Church, Children’s HopeChest and iEmpathize, will discuss orphan care, people with special needs, the elderly, human trafficking and genocide in an effort to encourage Christians to take on a broad view of life issues.

The Life and Justice Conference will take place at New Life Church in Colorado Springs from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. standard mountain time, and will be available online via simulcast and on video Podcasts after the conference.

I’m excited to speak at this year’s Life and Justice Conference because it focuses on the whole person–conception-to-death. This isn’t just a conference about preborn children–it is a comprehensive approach to the sanctity of human life that takes into consideration issues such as elder care, special needs, orphans, and sex trafficking.

These are not always issues where the church has led or even been most vocal.

It was just a few years ago that secular giving to HIV/AIDS relief work was significantly higher than giving from within the church.

Yet, the issue of life was central to Jesus’ teaching, and in fact He defines His ministry through “life.” Think about “I am the way the truth and the life!” or “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”

This holistic, expansive, and full view of life is being championed by the Life and Justice Conference.

The Life and Justice Conference is a major declaration that life–in all its forms–is God-given and sacred.

As Christ-followers, our duty is to protect life, nurture life, and redeem life in this world right now. It is exciting to see the sanctity of human life expressed in such a beautiful and complete tapestry like this.
