“Of all my house, [Moses] is the one I trust. I speak to him face to face, clearly and not in riddles! He sees the LORD as he is.” Number 12:7,8 NLT

Through Moses’ example, God gives us the key to living a life of friendship with our Creator: seeing God as He truly is. Moses understood the character of God. Unlike others around him, he didn’t create a man-made image of God, but studied to know God for himself. Moses must have spent a great deal of time researching, for he is credited with writing the first five books of the Bible. This study certainly bred a heightened appreciation for his Creator, for when we know God’s acts in history, we can only love and trust Him more and more.

Father,

I want to know you. Give me eyes to see Jesus as He is, for Jesus is the perfect picture of your character. Help me to study Him, talk with Him, love Him, and model my life after His character, influencing those around me with His great love. In living my life this way, I want to become someone you can truly trust. Like Moses, make me one in a million, uniquely qualified to be trusted with assignments from Heaven, anointed for leadership, skilled in problem-solving, always full of faith, abounding in hope even during challenging circumstances, and overflowing with wisdom from on high.

In Jesus’ Name Amen
