My dove is hiding behind the rocks, behind an outcrop on the cliff. Let me see your face; let me hear your voice. For your voice is pleasant, and your face is lovely. Song of Songs 2:14

Where did the love go that was once so evident and strong? It eludes us along the marriage path sometimes. It takes great effort to seek it out – to seek each other out, to excavate the buried love and joy and bring it back to life. Jesus can raise the dead. Let’s pray.

Our Father,

We cannot live without you. Our marriage cannot survive without you. But you have given yourself to us. This covenant you have blessed is real. And you have Yourself given us a covenant that is real. You bring everything you are to us and receive everything we are, the broken pieces notwithstanding. So take this brokenness and bring redemption. Take our joyless hearts and breath new life into them. Restore vitality to the love in our hearts for one another. We receive this miracle now in the name of Jesus!

Amen
