God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them. And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect. So we will not be afraid on the day of judgment, but we can face him with confidence because we live like Jesus here in this world. 1 John 4:16,17

I’m enrolled in the School of Love. I’m learning how to live in love, making a place for God to live in me. This beautiful circle of love makes my love grow more mature, more “perfect”.  While on the planet, Jesus showed us what living a love-lifestyle looks like. He only was doing what the Father, who is Love, showed Him. As we grow in love we can have confidence that we are pleasing the Lord; we are not earning our way to Heaven, but we are creating a bit more of Heaven on earth!

Sometimes I (Jill) used to talk more lovingly to our little dog than I did to my husband!  God got ahold of me, corrected me, I repented, and I now make an effort to speak consistently in loving tones, not just to my little dog, but to the man God gave me to love, for Heaven’s sake! Pray with me that our love for others would grow and create a new atmosphere in our homes and workplaces, making them full of the Fruit of the Spirit.

Father,

Please forgive me for acting and speaking in unlovely tones ways with the people in my life. Your Word says that love is not touchy or easily offended (1 Cor. 13). I repent of my childish, selfish habits, and I ask You to fill me with Your love. Show me how to walk in love. Transform me by the power of Your Word (Romans 12:1,2) so that the people around me will have proof positive that I am Your disciple (John 15). I expect You to accomplish this in my life as I do my part to cooperate with Your Holy Spirit.

In Jesus’ Name, Amen
