Compliments Produce Dopamine by Janice Taylor, Weight Loss Artist

Happy #OneWord Thursday Tushkateers, Devotees of Our Lady of Weight Loss and those who have mysteriously landed on this page (divine intervention for sure)!   Today’s word to meditate on, live by and utilize to the max is “compliment,” inspired by a compliment that I recently received, accepted and ingested!

My dear friend laid a very lofty compliment on my head.  I addition to saying “Thank you!” (rather than disputing the compliment:  oh no, I don’t look good today),  I continued, “I am going to save this compliment.  I’m gong to write it down, and then when I feel like crap, which I will at some point (can’t be a happy idiot all the time, can I?), I’m going to read it.  In fact, I think I’ll collect compliments that lighten.”

And so…yet another “Weight Loss Art” project was born!   When someone pays me a heartfelt compliment that truly makes me feel good, I am writing them down, binding them together in some manner (haven’t quite figured out how I want to do this, but I will), and again, when needed, I’ll read through and give myself a boost of positive energy.

AND…at the same time, it is my intention to sincerely sprinkle compliments to others throughout the day, and if the compliment is weighty enough, I may write it down and hand it to the receiver of the compliment and encourage them to hold on to it!!!

Care to join me and explore the power of the #Compliment?!?  Our Lady of All Things Light and Beautiful has provided 10 #Compliment Quotes to inspire!   Read on, ingest, compliment!
