Our Lady of Weight Loss: “Life’s a Beach” by Janice Taylor, Self-Help/Weight Loss Artist

Are you feeling as if you are spinning your wheels and getting nowhere fast?  Are you stuck in the mud?

What do you do when you feel stuck or trapped?  Flail, flounder, flap, struggle, resist?  Maybe even throw your weight around?

Remember:  What we resist persists!  Thrashing about, literally or figuratively, is likely to cause you to sink deeper into your “stuckness.”

What to do?  Read and ingest these six inspired and motivating quotes and then switch lanes.  Move from stuck to unstuck.  #stucktounstuck   Sometimes it’s just that simple!

What if you were always stuck in one place, your mind spinning and unable to go forward like tires clenched in mud, because the answers wouldn’t reveal themselves to you? ~ Will Lavender

We are not trapped by our thoughts. What we generally do, however, is create thoughts that trap us. ~ Joshua David Stone

If we stay where we are, where we’re stuck, where we’re comfortable and safe, we die there. We become like mushrooms, living in the dark, with poop up to our chins. If you want to know only what you already know, you’re dying. You’re saying: Leave me alone; I don’t mind this little rat-hole. It’s warm and dry. Really, it’s fine.

When nothing new can get in, that’s death. When oxygen can’t find a way in, you die. But new is scary, and new can be disappointing, and confusing – we had this all figured out, and now we don’t.

New is life. ~ Anne Lamott

Don’t keep everything in your heart, one day they might trap there forever. ~ M.F. Moonzajer

When we feel stuck, going nowhere–even starting to slip backward–we may actually be backing up to get a running start. ~ Dan Millman

“You can’t do anything for a person who is stuck between being happy and being miserable. All you can do is get trapped in the middle, and anyone in the middle just gets squished,” said Grandma. ~ Jack Gantos
