During the IDP Day of Activism in February, Melanie Einzig and I partnered up to canvas local shopkeepers about their use of plastic bags and willingness to consider alternatives. i have always felt sad when i see a plastic bags caught in the trees. my eye is unconsiously drawn to them. over the years there seem to be more and more. this winter, with the id project’s social activism weekend in mind, i went out for a meditative walk with the intention of photographing every bag i saw in a 1/2 hour.

all taken between 2nd ave and ave A 7th to 12th street, believe it or not.
