Barron Trump, the youngest son of former President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump, is reportedly on the verge of a major spiritual awakening. According to Pastor Stuart Knechtle, assistant pastor at Grace Community Church in New Canaan, Connecticut, the 19-year-old is “very close” to accepting Jesus Christ as his Savior.

Knechtle shared the news during a recent episode of influencer George Janko’s podcast. The pastor—who has more than 2.4 million followers on TikTok—recounted a late-night conversation he had with Barron at 12:30 a.m. that centered on faith and salvation. “I thought I was hitting him with some really strong points,” Knechtle explained, “but at the very end, I came up pretty much totally open-handed with nothing. But I brought up dreams and revelations.”

It was that last part—the mention of Muslims who have turned to Christianity after Jesus appeared to them in dreams—that seemed to capture Barron’s interest. “I said, ‘Hey, look, Barron, I usually don’t go by this typically as evidence, but I have a friend over in Africa who witnesses thousands of Muslims coming to Christ through dreams and revelations,'” Knechtle recalled. “How do you explain that?”

The pastor said Barron found that point “very, very interesting.” “That was the only thing that stuck with him,” Knechtle added. “And he’s very close to putting his faith in Christ—very close.”

Knechtle noted that these miraculous testimonies often intrigue nonbelievers. “People who are not believers see them and say, ‘Wow, OK, there could be something to that,'” he said. Janko, a Christian influencer himself, responded, “I hope Barron does surrender his life to Jesus.” Knechtle agreed, replying, “That would be huge.”

This news about Barron comes as conversations about faith and salvation continue to surround the Trump family. Earlier this year, President Trump made headlines after joking that his efforts to broker peace between Ukraine and Russia might earn him a place in heaven. The comment raised eyebrows among many Christians concerned about the implication of “earning” salvation through good works.

Later, the former president clarified his remarks, saying aboard Air Force One, “I don’t think there’s anything going to get me in heaven. I think I’m maybe not heaven-bound. I may be in heaven right now as we fly in Air Force One. I’m not sure I’m going to be able to make heaven.”

During a November interview with Fox News’ Laura Ingraham, Trump again said he had been joking, while Ingraham reminded him of the biblical truth that salvation comes only through faith in Jesus Christ. She cited Acts 4:12: “There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.”

As Pastor Knechtle and Janko emphasized, the possibility of Barron Trump coming to faith in Christ would be “huge.” For now, the pastor says, the young man remains deeply curious about the supernatural ways in which God reveals Himself.

Christians across the nation are being encouraged to continue praying for both Barron and his father—that they may fully embrace the saving grace offered through Jesus Christ.
