Fox News topped the list while America On Line’s Huffington Post scored dead last in a just-released American Customer Satisfaction Index ranking the public’s trust of Internet news and information sites.

If there was a surprise, it was that for the second consecutive year FoxNews.com finished at number one. Among journalists, Fox News often elicits a sneer due to its conservative focus. The survey shows the public doesn’t feel that way.

Finishing behind FoxNews.com was ABCNews.com with a score of 77 percent on the survey, USAToday.com (76), CNN.com (74), MSNBC.com (74), NYTimes.com (73) and the HuffingtonPost.com, finishing last.

Only ABCNews.com (+2) and CNN.com (+1) increased their scores while the others either held steady or lost ground. NYTimes.com (-3) suffered the biggest drop, knocking them from number three to number five overall in the rankings.
