Sep. 17–iPhone application developer APPSolute Media and gourmet and food writer Gloria Kobrin announced today the launch of the Kosher Cookbook application which provides kosher recipes, which can be sorted by course, cuisine and type of food. The application also offers custom meal plans and the ability to create personalized shopping lists.
Users can choose recipes and add the needed ingredients to the one-click shopping list on any iPhone or iPod Touch. The shopping list can also be viewed by store aisle or by recipe.

Kosher Cookbook includes kosher culinary delights by well-respected New York-based gourmet and food writer Gloria Kobrin. Kosher Cookbook also offers 52 customized meal plans for every Shabbat of the year, plus additional menus for the Jewish holidays and every special occasion in between.
Kobrin’s recipes include kosher adaptations of culinary classics not always found in most kosher kitchens because of ingredient and dietary restrictions. Examples of her signature dishes are spare ribs with orange hoisin sauce, moussaka and cream cheese cake.
Gloria Kobrin said, “Releasing my recipes on the iPhone complete with all the fantastic capabilities that the application affords is a very exciting step for me and a very powerful tool for the modern Jewish household. I hope that my recipes will offer a step-by-step guide that will help even the novice home cook to prepare a gourmet spread.”
