We are only as capable of receiving true Higher Guidance as we are willing to turn loose the tiller of thought, raise our eyes from the horizon of self, and wait quietly for a star not yet risen to reveal the Way.

Unless heart, head, and hand are all in the same place at the same time, working as one, then whatever is done is done half-heartedly, without thoughtfulness, and in half-measures. The only way that heart, head, and hand can be all together at once is when Love unites them in a single purpose.

We know life by its movement — by its parade of passing things, and by our thoughts about them that lend us a ceaseless sensation of ourselves. But to know our True Self, to dwell in its timeless sanctuary through which all the forms of life come and go — then we must know stillness.

Our daily dose of unhappiness isn’t due to a lack of choices over what is needed for us to be happy and free, but this discontentment is the creation of an unseen nature within us whose only life is born of creating and considering choices that never quite satisfy its needs.
