Goodness grows by enlarging the lives of others — through the development of those thoughts and actions which serve the enhancement of the individual by increasing the depth and breath of understanding between one and all others.

Evil grows by limiting the lives of others — through the gradual erosion and theft of the rights of others through the unconscionable actions of selfishly sick individuals.

What is evil serves only itself, and the actions of one evil being may cause the rights of millions to be restricted; whereas good serves all who encounter it.

Must the good bear the evil at the cost of their liberty? Are laws which restrict the good actually for the good, or do they serve the evil? Can any law which limits freedom be the same law which upholds the principle of liberty?
