T and his new friend Romey

Two of the World Vision Dominican Republic bloggers brought their kids with them…

Andrea brought T, her 10-year old son.

Like a lot of 10-year-old boys, T doesn’t say much. But behind that quiet exterior is a little guy who’s soaking in all that he is seeing in the Dominican Republic…

This afternoon, Andrea posted T’s first entry…

At the DR we have seen just kids walking around like they didn’t have a mom or dad .We went to a goat farm and we saw a little boy named Romey. He was Andon’s age. We gave him gum and bracelets and when we were about to leave. Romey laughed at me.

We also went to this village that people ran away from Haiti after the Earthquake. Amanda brought us bracelets to pass out to kids. We were passing out bracelets and they kind of like attacked us because they wanted them. It was so bad once we stopped passing them out, me, Jake and Hannah (<-0ther children on the trip) had to get in the van because they kept asking us for some. When we were leaving, this one girl stuck her tongue out at me because she didn’t get one.

There are lots of little kids running around naked. Andon (<-T’s little brother) would fit right in here except he’s not tannish.

I love reading the perspectives of a 10 year old.
