Two texts today, one from Ephesians 5:6 and the other from Colossians 3:6, are considered:
Ephesians 5:6-9:
Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes on those who are disobedient. 7 Therefore do not be associated with them. 8 For once you were darkness, but now in the Lord you are light. Live as children of light? 9 for the fruit of the light is found in all that is good and right and true.

Colossians 3:5-7:
Put to death, therefore, whatever in you is earthly: fornication, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed (which is idolatry). 6 On account of these the wrath of God is coming on those who are disobedient. 7 These are the ways you also once followed, when you were living that life.
These two texts draw upon Ephesians 2:3, which we discussed Monday. These two texts teach this about wrath:
1. This wrath is God’s wrath.
2. This wrath comes on those who live disobediently and it comes upon them because they are disobedient.
3. Because of wrath, Paul urges folks to separate themselves from the sinful.
