We stayed in South Africa with Nic and Magriet near Rustenburg; they live on a “farm” with a Conference and wedding center, a bed and breakfast, and their own home. Daily I got up early, took up my post near the pool and a table so I could watch birds and look into the mountain for baboons and wild animals. The birds were amazing, and here are some pictures of some wild animals Kris took pictures of when we visited the cheetah farm and then also Pilanesberg National Park as well as a lion ranch.

Here’s my perching spot:

For each of these we are grateful to those who took time from their days to make these experiences memorable.
At the Cheetah farm where we also saw “wild dogs.”
