Last November Barbara and I sensed the Lord was up to something in our lives.  We currently have six children (5 adopted) but in separate times of prayer God gave us a vision (and desire) for more children.  A sibling set.  There are so many children who enter the foster care system with their siblings wondering if they are going to be able to stay together or be split up.

We began to make adjustments in preparations for their arrival…whomever they may be.  We adjusted our finances, emotional capacity; we put practices into place to insure that our current children receive the care and attention they deserve.  Just a few weeks ago we emptied out our savings and began to renovate our house adding bedrooms and bathrooms in anticipation.

This has been a huge step of faith for us and, thanks be to God, he confirmed the vision he gave us this past week as we met social services and were offered a sibling group of three.  Two boys and a girl.  We are honored to have been chosen to be their parents and are deeply in need of God's grace and strength to live the call he has on our life.

9 kids…that's enough for a baseball team!
