A popular TikTok tarot card reader with nearly one million followers has announced she is leaving the occult behind after embracing faith in Jesus Christ.

The content creator, formerly known online as Alex Reads Tarot, revealed in a heartfelt 10-minute video shared in late June that she had deleted all of her tarot-themed content and would no longer produce videos centered on tarot card readings. She also changed her social media handles to “Alex in the Ordinary,” marking what she described as the beginning of a new chapter.

“I don’t know exactly what comes next for me,” Alex told viewers, “but what I do know is that Jesus Christ has saved my life, and I can no longer ignore that reality.”

Her announcement quickly gained attention online, drawing thousands of reactions as viewers responded to her unexpected testimony.

Alex acknowledged that walking away from the platform she spent years building was not an easy decision.

“My work has become a huge part of my life,” she said, explaining that it had connected her with “incredible people all across the world.”

She described her conversion not as a dramatic overnight experience but as a gradual journey that unfolded over the past year.

“As my faith grew, I began to find myself wrestling with questions that I couldn’t quite ignore,” she said. “What started feeling as something that I couldn’t quite explain began to grow into something that I couldn’t quite ignore anymore.”

Alex admitted she never imagined she would make such an announcement.

“If you told me a year ago I’d be making this video, I probably wouldn’t have believed you,” she said. “But one thing that I’ve come to realize is that life can gently shift in ways that we don’t always see coming.”

She also made it clear that her decision meant the end of her tarot content and, ultimately, her current social media presence.

“I’m not going to be creating any more tarot content,” she said. “And, once this account is gone, I will not be returning.”

Her public profession of faith has generated mixed reactions. While many Christians celebrated her testimony and welcomed her into the faith, some members of the occult community expressed disappointment, with reports indicating she lost approximately 30,000 followers after announcing her conversion.
