After 10 long months in the neonatal intensive care unit, Snoop Dogg’s granddaughter is finally home. Cori Broadus, the rapper’s daughter, shared the emotional milestone on Instagram, announcing that her baby girl, Codi, has officially been discharged from the hospital.
“She’s home,” Broadus wrote alongside a tender photo of mother and daughter resting together. “Thank you for every prayer, every message, every ounce of love. God heard them all.”

Born in February 2025 at just 25 weeks, Codi weighed barely over a pound and faced a long and uncertain journey. “The princess arrived at 6 months,” Broadus wrote after her birth. “I’ve cried and cried, I’ve compared and compared, blaming myself because I wasn’t able to give her all that she needed. But no matter what, God always shows me that He has got me!” She added, “Baby girl came at 25 weeks today, and she’s the best!! Thank You God for getting me this far.”
Snoop Dogg later called his new granddaughter one of the greatest joys of his year, telling PEOPLE, “She was born premature, and she’s doing very well now. So tiny C has probably been the best thing that happened to me this year.”
Codi’s personality quickly became known in the NICU. “That girl is so feisty,” Broadus told Us Weekly months into the journey. “She’s so resilient and strong… the doctors and nurses always tell me, ‘Your baby got her mind… she knows what’s going on.’ That girl is just a sweet little firecracker.”
Throughout the highs and lows, Broadus said her Christian faith became her anchor. “It goes back into my faith,” she explained. “You got to trust in God and trust His plan. Everybody’s plan looks a little different… Our journey home just looks a little different than the next baby.”
Broadus is no stranger to hardship herself — she was diagnosed with lupus at just 6 years old and suffered a stroke at age 24. “What really got me close with God is after I had my stroke,” she said. “I told Him, ‘God, if you get me out of here, I’m gonna tell the world… you’re real.’ And He did exactly that. And He gets me through.”
Now, with Codi finally home, Broadus is celebrating a long-awaited answer to prayer.
