A pizza delivery that started with a mistake turned into a moment of grace that has now touched millions.
Pastor Neal Seiwert of Castle Rock, Colorado, recently ordered pizza for his family from Papa John’s. When the delivery driver, a woman named Suzanna, arrived at their home, she realized she had brought the wrong order. Embarrassed, she quickly apologized.
“I’m sorry, I’m getting old,” Suzanna told the family. “I saw order No. 57, but you were actually No. 67. I screwed up. I’m sorry.”
Instead of reacting with frustration, Pastor Seiwert offered her encouragement. “Don’t you, for one second, feel bad. We love you, and Jesus loves you. And we hope you have a great night.”
A Porch Prayer
The Seiwert family—including Neal, his wife, and their three young daughters—then stepped out onto the porch, placed their hands on Suzanna’s shoulders, and prayed over her.
“When she was explaining herself … I really felt the love of God for her and wanted to do anything I could to relieve any pressure and anxiety she was [feeling],” Seiwert later told Fox News Digital.
The pastor explained that he saw the mistake as an opportunity to show compassion. “It can be an opportunity to shine our light and help someone experience love. I didn’t want her to experience just our family’s love; I wanted her to experience God’s love, too.”
The Viral Moment
The powerful moment of prayer was captured on the family’s Ring doorbell camera and shared on social media. It quickly spread, garnering more than 500,000 likes on Instagram and over 5 million views overall.
In the video, Seiwert’s prayer could be heard clearly: “Jesus, we thank you for Suzanna, and Lord, I thank you that we crossed paths tonight. In fact, Lord, she’s more important than any of these orders tonight because you matter to her. She matters to us.”
He continued, “Lord, I just pray you would bless her. I pray that you would open the windows of heaven over her and bring any healing she needs to her body in the name of Jesus, any financial need to her, Lord — and God, that she would encounter you and live for you and follow you [with] everything she has, in Jesus’ name. Amen.”
An Overflow of Compassion
Viewers online were deeply moved, praising the Seiwerts for living out their faith in such a tangible way. The moment also sparked a viral fundraiser to bless Suzanna beyond just words of prayer. Though the details of the fundraiser are still unfolding, the heart behind it reflects the ripple effect of one family’s decision to respond with grace.
Pastor Seiwert says the encounter reminded him that everyday moments can become divine appointments. “When you feel compassion for someone, trust that God is speaking to you. You never know how He may want to use you to touch someone’s life.”
For Suzanna, a simple delivery gone wrong became a moment to encounter the love of Jesus. And for millions watching online, the story became a reminder that kindness and prayer can transform even the smallest mistakes into something beautiful.
