Award-winning actress Mira Sorvino is a currently a contestant on season 32 of “Dancing with the Stars,” and is embracing her sexuality as a mother. The 56-year-old has admitted that she has faced several challenges since entering the dance competition and her goal is to overcome them during her time on the show. “I think it’s been a long time since I’ve thought of myself as, like, sexy,” Sorvino told Fox News. “We don’t think of ourselves that way when we enter… the motherhood phase. And maybe that’s a mistake… we should always embrace our sexuality, but… I’m not… living in that at the moment.” Sorvino, who is a mother of four, spoke about her struggles to “re-access that confidence” while participating in “sexy” dances. She added that she hopes her dancing will inspire other moms in America. “All of us moms… we trade that young single person who is kind of confident in her sensuality… to being like the mothering person, the caretaker, the loving person who’s there, but not the person who… shines in her own sexy light,” she said. Sorvino is paired up with “Dancing with the Stars” pro Gleb Savchenko, where they recently performed a sexy salsa dance, earning them a spot in the next round of the show.

Sorvino is the daughter of “Goodfellas” actor Paul Sorvino, who passed away in July 2022 from natural causes. The 83-year-old had been dealing with health issues prior to his death. Mira took to Twitter at the time to announce the passing of her father where she said, “My father the great Paul Sorvino has passed.” She continued, “My heart is rent asunder – a life of love and joy and wisdom with him is over. He was the most wonderful father. I love him so much. I’m sending you love in the stars Dad as you ascend.”

Sorvino tied the knot with actor and director Christopher Backus in 2004 and share four children together. Sons Johnny and Holden and daughters Mattea and Lucia.
