OnlyFans star Sophie Rain is speaking out after a tense interview with Christian podcaster Bryce Crawford about Christianity, sin and salvation, accusing him of “religion-baiting” her.
Rain told TMZ she went into the podcast expecting an “honest conversation” about her life and beliefs. After watching the interview back, however, she said she felt Crawford repeatedly questioned her faith because of her work on OnlyFans.
“Watching it back, I felt like my religion was being used to put me on trial,” Rain said. “He kept coming back to whether my work was a sin, even after I’d answered him.”
During the conversation, Rain discussed the boundaries she says she maintains on OnlyFans. She said she does not appear nude or have sex on camera. Rain also said she is a virgin and believes there is a good chance she will go to heaven.
Crawford pressed Rain on whether her work conflicts with her Christian faith and reportedly encouraged her to leave OnlyFans.
Rain remained composed during the interview, but now says the exchange made her deeply uncomfortable.
“I was polite in the room because I respect that people have different beliefs,” she told TMZ. “But the more I’ve thought about it, the more horrific that conversation feels to me.”
She said she particularly objected to being questioned about her salvation.
“Asking me how sure I am that I’d go to heaven and repeatedly pressing me to quit OnlyFans didn’t feel like a conversation between two people,” Rain said.
Rain said Crawford had the right to disagree with her choices. Her issue was with how he approached her relationship with God.
“He doesn’t get to decide what my relationship with God means or turn it into a test for his audience,” she said. “To me, that felt like religion-baiting.”
The exchange raises the question of how Christians speak about sin while showing grace to people whose choices they believe conflict with biblical teaching.
Rain said the conversation did leave her thinking more deeply, but she rejected the idea that Crawford could draw conclusions about her faith for her.
“I’m still learning,” Rain said. “That doesn’t mean I agreed with his conclusions or that I was inviting him to speak for God on my behalf.”
