Carrie Underwood is proving to everyone that you don’t have to bare it all to turn heads. The beloved singer and newly minted American Idol judge is earning praise from fans, not just for her vocal talents, but for her modesty and heart for God.

Underwood recently shared photos from Hawaii, where American Idol is currently filming at the Aulani Disney Resort. In the images, she’s seen paddleboarding and practicing yoga in a stylish blue and white one-piece swimsuit. “Paddle board yoga?! I’m down. #CUonIDOL tonight at #DisneyAulani!” she wrote in the caption.

But it wasn’t just the picturesque setting that caught people’s attention—it was Underwood’s modest yet beautiful swimsuit that drew applause from followers. “This swimsuit though!! So cute & modest!” one fan commented. Another added, “Considering this my permission slip to buy a skirted swimsuit. Love it.”

Underwood has long been admired for striking a balance between style and modesty—something that resonates deeply with many Christian fans. Her social media posts often reflect a sense of authenticity, fun, and grace, which is rare in an industry often known for pushing the limits.

In addition to her fashionable presence, Underwood has been an inspiring addition to the American Idol judging panel. A former contestant herself, she won Season 4 in 2005 and knows firsthand what it feels like to chase a dream under the spotlight. On SiriusXM’s Music Row Happy Hour, she spoke about her approach to judging: “You’re a part of somebody’s story from that moment on. I think it’s important to be honest, but I think it’s also very important to be kind.”

That kindhearted spirit was on display during a recent episode, when contestants Rylee and Breanna performed Brandon Lake’s powerful worship anthem “Gratitude.” The performance moved Underwood, who opened up about the difficulty of maintaining faith in the entertainment world.

“I know how difficult it is to come into the entertainment industry and bring your faith with you,” she said, her voice full of emotion. “It is a brave thing to do because there are a lot of outside forces that are going to tell you not to do that.”

For many Christian viewers, Underwood’s presence on American Idol is more than just a celebrity cameo—it’s a reminder that you can be faithful, kind, modest, and bold for Christ, even on one of the world’s biggest stages.
