Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo may have gone their separate ways, but their post-divorce lives couldn’t look more different. While the country star is celebrating health milestones, new music and personal growth, his ex-wife is embracing a lavish new lifestyle complete with a luxury home, a $500,000 Rolls-Royce and rumors of a new romance.
The former couple finalized their divorce in July after Jelly Roll, whose real name is Jason DeFord, filed in May. Although their marriage has ended, both have been vocal about moving forward without bitterness, repeatedly pushing back against online rumors that infidelity caused the split.
For Jelly Roll, the months following the divorce have centered on transformation rather than tabloid headlines. The “Son of a Sinner” singer recently released his new song, “Hands Up,” but it was an Instagram post celebrating a personal milestone that resonated with many fans.
“Just a few years ago, I finally threw my Hands Up and started changing my life,” he wrote. “Today I’m throwing my hands up on top of a MOUNTAIN we decided to hike on a whim that would have been literally impossible for me to get up not long ago.”
He ended the post with a simple declaration of faith: “God is GREAT y’all, God is so great.”
The hike marked another milestone in Jelly Roll’s widely documented health journey. The singer has regularly shared workout updates, weight-loss progress and healthier habits with fans, recently joking alongside a fitness post, “Swole Roll otw.”
Bunnie Xo, meanwhile, has been documenting a very different new chapter. She recently gave followers a tour of her sprawling Nashville-area home, complete with hidden stairways, oversized closets, lavish décor, an outdoor shower and an infinity pool. She also revealed a brand-new Rolls-Royce, reportedly worth around $500,000, writing that “sometimes a girl needs to spoil herself.”
She has also sparked romance speculation after she was spotted kissing 24-year-old Dylan Wolf in Nashville, though she has not publicly addressed the status of their relationship.
Despite their very different post-divorce lifestyles, the former couple says one thing hasn’t changed: their friendship. In a now-deleted podcast episode, Bunnie Xo explained that they worked through their divorce quickly and continue to support one another.
“J is my best friend,” she said. “Nobody cheated on the other person. It’s literally just we served our purpose for each other.”
The two also plan to continue their IVF journey despite no longer being married. According to People, both were advised by their attorneys to reconsider because of the evolving legal questions surrounding frozen embryos after divorce, but they chose to move forward anyway.
Although their lives are heading in different directions, both have remained united in rejecting speculation about what ended their marriage. For Jelly Roll, the focus now appears to be on becoming healthier physically and spiritually. As he celebrated reaching another personal milestone, he summed up his outlook with a simple message that has become a recurring theme throughout his journey: “God is GREAT y’all, God is so great.”
