Donnie Wahlberg is known for his successful acting career, his music with New Kids on the Block and his starring role on the television series Boston Blue. But according to the actor and singer himself, none of those accomplishments compares to one life-changing decision he made recently.

During a recent Forrest Frank concert, Wahlberg was approached by the son of retired MMA fighter Christian Reynoso, who asked the star a simple but powerful question: What is your greatest accomplishment in life?

Wahlberg’s response quickly captured attention online after Reynoso shared the heartfelt exchange on social media.

“So of all the things I did in my life, just in the last year, I gave my life to Christ, and that’s the most important thing of all the things I did,” Wahlberg said.

The actor went on to explain that, while he is grateful to be a father and proud of raising his sons to become “good men,” his relationship with Jesus has become the most meaningful part of his life.

“I’m proud of a lot of things I did, but it doesn’t matter as much as giving my life to Jesus,” he told the young boy.

The touching interaction continued as Wahlberg encouraged the child in his own faith journey, telling him, “I’m so inspired by you.”

Reynoso later shared more details about the encounter, explaining that his family attended the concert simply hoping to worship and enjoy the night together.

“We came to praise Jesus and see @hiforrest,” Reynoso wrote online. “We ended up meeting @donniewahlberg and praising with him all night long.”

He described the event as a beautiful experience, noting that thousands gathered to worship Jesus openly.

“Seeing 13,000 people raising Jesus’s holy name together was so beautiful,” Reynoso wrote. “God’s love and mercy truly has no bounds.”

Wahlberg has become increasingly open about his faith over the past year, frequently sharing how his relationship with Christ has transformed his life.

“It doesn’t make me not me. It makes me a better me,” Wahlberg previously said while discussing his faith journey. He added that he wants to use his platform to let his “light shine … to glorify Him.”

In another interview, Wahlberg explained that his faith is rooted in relationship rather than obligation.

“It’s a joyous sacrifice,” he said. “It’s not a rule… I want to build the relationship.”

The actor also recently shared a social media video featuring Brandon Lake’s song “That’s How I Praise” while walking on stage with his band.

“God is so good!” Wahlberg wrote alongside the post.

For many Christian fans, Wahlberg’s openness about his faith has been encouraging to watch — especially in an entertainment culture where public declarations about Jesus are often rare. His latest interaction served as another reminder that transformed lives and bold faith testimonies can have a powerful impact, even in simple conversations.
