Country music superstar and American Idol judge Carrie Underwood is once again pointing fans toward faith and gratitude, this time through a simple but heartfelt message about America.

Underwood shared a video on Instagram showing hundreds of American flags displayed across a rural Tennessee property. The patriotic scene prompted a brief caption that quickly resonated with many of her followers.

“I can’t believe I get to live here,” Underwood wrote. “Thank you, Lord.”

While the Grammy Award-winning singer did not specifically mention America’s upcoming 250th anniversary celebration, her post arrives as communities across the nation prepare to commemorate the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776.

For longtime fans, the message was another example of Underwood’s willingness to acknowledge her Christian faith publicly. Throughout her career, she has consistently credited God for her success and has spoken openly about the role faith plays in her daily life.

Earlier this year, Underwood told The Christian Post that Christians do not have to compromise their beliefs to succeed in the entertainment industry.

“You don’t have to … sell your soul to make it in the entertainment industry,” she said. “You are going to have to stand strong in your faith and remember who got you here, because it wasn’t you.”

The singer made those remarks while discussing the second annual “Songs of Faith” episode of American Idol, which featured contestants performing Christian and faith-inspired music before a national audience.

“I love that we were able to … just be joyful and, you know, kind of have some moments of just worship in front of the world,” Underwood said. She also praised both ABC and American Idol for embracing the theme despite the challenges that can come with highlighting faith in mainstream entertainment.

“I respect ABC and ‘American Idol’ so much for being bold in this theme, because it’s not easy,” she explained. “I feel like in the world of entertainment in general … it’s not easy.”

Underwood has often spoken about learning to trust God through both triumphs and hardships. In a 2019 interview with People, she reflected on the peace that comes from surrendering control to the Lord.

“The best moments in my life are when I say, ‘Hey, I can’t control everything, and that’s OK’ because God is in control,” she said.

She also emphasized the importance of gratitude, noting that she considers herself richly blessed by God.

“I’ve always wanted to be a good daughter to my parents but also to God and not complain, because we are beyond blessed,” Underwood said.

From her music career to her family life, Underwood continues to use her platform to express thankfulness for God’s blessings. Her latest post serves as a simple reminder that gratitude—for both faith and country—remains at the center of her message.
