After decades of high-profile relationships and personal ups and downs, two iconic stars from the 80s have found their way back to each other — and this time, it appears to be something deeper.

Heather Locklear and Lorenzo Lamas are officially together, with a representative for Lamas confirming to E! News that the pair are now dating. The news comes after months of speculation, including photos of the two celebrating New Year’s Eve together in Las Vegas.

While their romance may feel sudden to fans, the connection between Locklear and Lamas actually goes back more than 40 years. The two first met in the early 1980s, when Locklear was starring in “Dynasty,” and Lamas appeared on “Falcon Crest.” Their paths crossed during a now-famous 1983 photoshoot, and although life took them in different directions, the bond clearly never faded.

Now, after years of what Lamas openly described as “trial and error” in his love life, he says he has finally found something lasting.

“I mean, I’ve been through a lot of trial and error, and she is the most amazing woman that I think I’ve ever met,” Lamas told Fox News Digital.

Both stars bring long and very public relationship histories into this new chapter. Locklear was previously married to Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee and later to Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora, with whom she shares a daughter. Lamas, meanwhile, has been married multiple times and is the father of six children.

Despite the past, both have spoken openly about what they’ve learned — and how their perspectives have shifted.

For Lamas, faith has played a major role in that transformation.

“With Jesus Christ in your life, you can accomplish anything,” he said. “There’s no problem or event or anything that can compare to the strength that you feel when you know you’re following Christ… even in the darkest of times, we always have the Lord to lean on.”

He credited his upbringing for that foundation, adding, “My mom believed that. She’s shared that with me as a kid, and it’s kind of how I try to live my life.”

That faith has also helped him navigate the pressures of Hollywood. “When the pressure gets a little bit too much in Hollywood, I go on vacation,” he said. “I’ll get on my Harley and just take a ride… go up the coast and enjoy God’s nature. That’s always been my touchstone.”

Locklear, too, has been candid about seeking God’s guidance in her personal life. After ending her engagement to longtime partner Chris Heisser, she shared her desire for something more meaningful.

“What I want is for God to direct me toward who I’m supposed to be with,” she said on her podcast. “Because I can’t always make good decisions.”

In many ways, their story feels like one of timing — two people who went through years of growth, mistakes, and searching, only to reconnect later in life with a clearer sense of what truly matters.

And now, after decades apart, they seem to be embracing a relationship built not just on shared history, but on faith, perspective, and a renewed sense of purpose.

Sometimes, love doesn’t come when you expect it — but when it does, it can feel like it was there all along.
