Sky Daily Hogan, the wife of pro wrestling icon Hulk Hogan, is leaning on her faith and cherished memories after the sudden passing of her husband, who died Thursday at age 71 following cardiac arrest at their Florida home.

In an emotional Instagram post early Friday morning, Sky broke her silence, expressing the shock and pain she felt over the loss of the man she called her partner and her heart.

“I wasn’t ready for this… and my heart is in pieces,” she wrote. “He had been dealing with some health issues, but I truly believed we would overcome them. I had so much faith in his strength. I thought we still had more time.”

The wrestling legend, born Terry Bollea, reportedly suffered cardiac arrest at his Clearwater home. Emergency personnel responded to the call just before 10 a.m. and treated Hogan on site before transporting him to Morton Plant Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

While reports had circulated in recent weeks about Hogan’s health, his wife had previously dismissed concerns, assuring fans he was “strong” and recovering well from surgeries. His passing, she said, was “sudden and impossible to process.”

“To the world, he was a legend… but to me, he was my Terry,” Sky continued. “The man I loved. My partner. My heart.”

Despite his declining health, Hogan remained dedicated to his fans. “Hulk loved his fans so much and despite his growing physical discomfort, he did everything he could to show up, sign autographs, take photos, and connect with the people who supported him through it all. You meant everything to him,” she shared.

Sky also gave fans a glimpse into the couple’s spiritual foundation. “Hulk was a believer in Christ,” she wrote, “and I take comfort knowing his soul is at peace and he’s been welcomed home.”

That faith was on full display last December, when the couple announced on social media that they had been baptized. Hogan shared at the time, “Total surrender and dedication to Jesus is the greatest day of my life. No worries, no hate, no judgment… only love.”

Tributes quickly poured in across social media from wrestling icons, fans, and even political leaders, all honoring the man who defined a generation of professional wrestling with his charisma, catchphrases, and unmatched presence.

As the world mourns, Sky is asking for one simple thing: “Please keep his family and all of us who loved him in your prayers as we try to navigate this new reality.”
