British comedian and actor Russell Brand recently shared a powerful message of faith and redemption with British porn star Lily Phillips, urging her to recognize her intrinsic worth as a “child of God” and to see her body as a sacred temple.

Brand, 49, who was baptized in 2024 following years of spiritual searching, sat down with Phillips, 23, in a recent interview where he expressed concern for her lifestyle and career. Phillips gained attention for engaging in sexual encounters with more than 100 men in a single day and has openly set a personal goal of reaching 1,000 partners. Despite her claims of empowerment, Brand gently challenged her perspective with a faith-based message.

During the discussion, Brand admitted that his younger, more promiscuous self “would have been happy to see you as an object.” But now, as a man of faith, he said he feels compelled to offer her counsel, protection, and encouragement.

“I want you to know that there is a path for you and that you don’t have to do anything that you don’t want to do,” Brand told Phillips. “And I know that you aren’t doing anything you don’t want to do, but if ever you find yourself in that position, know that there is a path and a light for you.”

Brand then quoted 1 Corinthians 6:19, which states, “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own.” He emphasized that Phillips’ life and body are sacred, saying, “You are special, and you are sacred. You deserve to be cherished and treasured in every aspect of your life.”

Phillips, however, rejected the idea that she is being exploited or that she needs saving. She told Brand that working on OnlyFans allows her to control her career without interference from agents or pimps.

“I’m maybe just, like, obsessed with sex and really enjoy my job,” she said, adding that “no amount of money” could make her stop.

She also dismissed Brand’s encouragement, saying she is “just another girl” and is “not religious or anything like that.”

Brand’s spiritual journey has been well-documented in recent years. After battling addiction, reckless promiscuity, and the trappings of fame, he found solace in Christianity and was baptized in 2024. In just five months, he began baptizing others, sharing his newfound faith with his millions of followers.

Since then, he has used his platform to discuss Christianity, often addressing the moral decay in modern culture and the increasing hunger for spiritual meaning.

“I know a lot of people are sort of cynical about the increasing interest in Christianity and the return to God, but to me, it’s obvious,” he said in an April 2024 video. “As meaning deteriorates in the modern world, as our value systems and institutions crumble, all of us become increasingly aware that there is this eerily familiar awakening and beckoning figure that we’ve all known all of our lives, within us and around us. And for me, it’s very exciting.”
