Lindsay Lohan has welcomed her first child with her husband, Bader Shammas. Lohan welcomed baby boy, Luai, on Monday in Dubai, where she now resides with her financier husband Shammas. A representative for Lohan confirmed the news to HuffPost, saying they “Welcomed a beautiful, healthy son named Luai,” which is Arabic for shield or protector. They added saying, “The family is over the moon in love.”

Lohan first announced her pregnancy back in March when she posted on Instagram a baby romper with the words “Coming soon!” on the front. She captioned the image “We are blessed and excited!” In June, while speaking to Allure, Lohan opened up about her excitement to become a mother. “I can’t wait to see what the feeling is and what it’s like to just be a mom,” Lohan said. “Happy tears. That’s just who I am. Though now, it’s probably baby emotion. It’s overwhelming in a good way.”

Lohan and Shammas first began seeing each other in 2019, when they were sure to keep their relationship very private. In November 2021, Lohan announced their engagement by posting on Instagram showing off her ring with the caption, “My love. My life. My family. My future.” Last April, Lohan and Shammas tied the knot in a private ceremony honoring their marriage. In July 2022, Lohan took to Instagram to gush over her husband saying, “I am the luckiest woman in the world. Not because I need a man, but because he found me and knew that I wanted to find happiness and grace, all at the same time.”

Recently, Lohan sat down with “Mean Girls” co-star Amanda Seyfried for Interview magazine where Lohan spoke about her new home of Dubai. “It’s so detached from everything that I’m used to when I’m here in the States. And there are no paparazzi. It’s nice to have a separate world that’s my own. It’s so safe there, and the schools are great.”
