The Paramount Network has recently addressed the rumors on whether the popular series “Yellowstone” is coming to an end or not. Many sources have claimed that “Yellowstone” star, Kevin Costner, who plays John Dutton, has had scheduling limitations prior to the mid-season finale. Costner is also currently directing and starring in the upcoming western movie, “Horizon.” Sources told Deadline media outlet that Costner originally limited himself to 65 days of shooting the new episodes of the first half of the fifth season but ended up only shooting for 50 days instead. When it came to shooting the second batch of episodes of the fifth season, Costner allegedly only wanted to spend a week shooting the episodes. “We have no news to report. Kevin Costner is a big part of ‘Yellowstone,’ and we hope that’s the case for a long time to come,” a Paramount Network spokesperson told the media.

Viewers have become fully immersed in the storyline of “Yellowstone,” so much so that co-creator and executive producer, Taylor Sheridan, has created two spin-offs of the show, with rumors of a new one in the works with potential stars such as Matthew McConaughey. One of the spin-offs, “1883” stars big names such as Tim McGraw and Faith Hill while the other spin-off, “1932” includes stars such as Harrison Ford and Dame Helen Mirren. Recently, there have been rumors of another potential spin-off of the show after reports surfaced of Costner’s scheduling conflicts. Matthew McConaughey is a name that has been speculated to be in the running of potential lead roles in a new series. The Paramount Network commented on this saying, “Thanks to the brilliant mind of Taylor Sheridan, we are always working on franchise expansions of this incredible world he has built. Matthew McConaughey is a phenomenal talent with whom we’d love to partner.”
