Lauren Daigle has been dominating the Christian music sector since her 2018 album “Look Up Child”. This year was no different, with Daigle taking home the 2020 Top Christian Artist award by Billboard Music.

Daigle beat out other hopeful Kanye West, who ended up taking home the Top Gospel Artist of the year for 2020.

Daigle’s single “You Say” continues to reign supreme on the Christian music charts. Daigle also stayed active during the pandemic by giving her fans a chance to stay in contact through social media. She’s taken time to perform on YouTube, Facebook, and more to share her music with her fans in a time of social distancing.

“I want people who encounter my music, whether through a live appearance or on an album, to connect to something greater than themselves,’ she told The Christian Post in a recent interview. “I want the lyrics of my songs to spread love and foster unity. I hope those listening hear something that stirs them to be a light in this world and bring a smile to someone’s face.”

When her album “Look Up Child” came out in 2018, it debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart. Shocking many, it took over secular musicians such as Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj, and Drake. Daigle has been able to stay in the limelight of mainstream music ever since but still shares her story with Christ.
