Coming this September, one of Hollywood’s most beloved characters will return to the big screen. Bridget Jones is returning for a third film in the franchise titled Bridget Jones’s Baby which focuses on a now pregnant Jones and her hunt to discover which of two men is the father to her unborn child.

The movie was shot in London over the past year and follows the 2001 original and 2004’s Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason. Colin Firth will reprise his role as Mark Darcy and Patrick Dempsey jumps on board as love rival and suave billionaire Jack.  Emma Thompson joins the franchise as Jones’ wonderfully dry, yet supportive, doctor.

But is Mark or Jack the father of Bridget’s baby? Not even the cast or crew knows the answer to that. Three different endings were filmed in an effort to avoid plot leaks.

Directed by Sharon Maguire, the film takes its basis from the columns author Helen Fielding wrote for The Independent between 2005 and 2006. Bridget Jones’s Baby hits cinemas on September 16.
