Sports Illustrated is making headlines by featuring Ashley Graham, 28, as their first ever curvy model to appear on the cover of Sports Illustrated’s annual swimsuit issue. Graham will be featured alongside women such as model Hailey Clauson and UFC fighter Ronda Rousey.

Graham has starred in campaigns for Lane Bryant and SwimsuitsforAll, designed lingerie with Addition Elle, walked the runway at New York Fashion Week’s first plus-size show, and even given inspirational talks on Ted Talk. “It is critical that both men and women create a body-positive environment. Uplift the important women in your lives,” said Graham during Ted Talk. The SwimsuitsforAll ad received a lot of buzz when it featured Graham in the 2015 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition.

Alongside Graham in the SwimsuitsforAll advertising campaign are Nicola Griffin, one of the oldest models to date, and Philmeno Kwao who is another curvaceous model.  Sports Illustrated is definitely breaking many records and turning heads with their modern and realistic approach on beauty and body image.
