On night two of “The X Factor” auditions, contestant Dexter Haygood told the story of how he used to play in a band in the 80s that toured with Hall and Oates, but that now he’s living “couch to couch”, his only possessions his car and the clothes he needs to perform.

A quick search on YouTube.com found some video from Haygood’s former band, Xavion.

I’m glad Haygood is getting the chance to move on to the next round. No only does he get a second chance at fame, he’s got experience and life lessons to share with the younger contestants.
