This week, American Idol airs on Wednesday night (not Tuesday), so join me at 8 pm on Wednesday, February 25 as the second group of contestants perform for their chance to make it to the Top 12. (NOTE: This is the link to where I’m blogging LIVE on Wed. Chime in with your thoughts!)
On the bill this week:

Megan Corkrey
Kris Allen
Mishovanna Henson
Matt Breitzke
Allison Iraheta
Matt Giraud
Jasmine Murray
Kai Kalama
Jesse Langseth
Adam Lambert
Jeanine Vailes
Nick Mitchell (aka Norman – or Normund – Gentle)

Three contestants – Mishovanna Henson, Matt Giraud, and Kris Allen – have ties to Christian music. Jesse Langseth comes from an incredibly talented family, which includes her Grammy-winning brother, blues artist Johnny Lang. Some of the contestants have gotten lots of air time – Jasmine Murray, Adam Lambert, Nick Mitchell/Norman Gentle, Matt Breitzke – while some we barely saw at all – Jeanine Vailes, Allison Iraheta.
Obviously, we haven’t seen some of the contestants perform, and if we’ve learned anything it’s that when you put a good singer in front of a live audience and a TV audience of millions, anything can happen. But do you have a favorite singer you’d like to see go through this week? What do you think about Norman Gentle in the competition?
Last week, I had very strong feelings about who would go through, because both Alexis and Danny had gotten a lot of air time. This week, I’m really not sure. I’ll have to see what happens when they perform live.
Check back Wednesday morning for the link to join me as I blog live during this week’s American Idol!
