SwitchfootTHEBESTYETcover.jpgWith global cumulative sales of more than 5 million units of their six albums, and dozens of chart singles, Switchfoot is releasing an anthology of their signature tracks on The Best Yet.
The collection is a greatest hits but also a collection of songs that represent the history of the band. “These are songs that we would like to play for someone who has never heard of Switchfoot,” says Switchfoot member Tim Foreman. “There is quite a wide musical journey expressed in that list, and we’re very proud of that part of our history as a band. Beyond that, we’ve been digging into the vault to find rare video content for the deluxe edition, so that the hard-core fan that does decide to buy it won’t be disappointed.”

The album includes 18 tracks, including:
“Concrete Girl,” from the band’s debut, The Legend of Chin
“Only Hope,” from New Way To Be Human; the song also appeared in the movie “A Walk To Remember” and was sung by Mandy Moore in the movie
“Is the Movement,” from Learning to Breathe
“Beautiful Letdown,” “This Is Your Life,” “Dare You To Move,” and “On Fire” from The Beautiful Letdown
“Awakening,” from Oh Gravity!
and the single “This Is Home,: from The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian original soundtrack.
The Best Yet Deluxe Edition also features 14 videos, including the band’s MTV/VH-1 played hits, but also rare and never-before-released-for-sale videos, “The Blues,” “Happy is a Yuppie Word” and “Company Car.”
Switchfoot is currently on 23-city “Music Builds” Tour. A portion of the funds raised during the tour benefits Habitat for Humanity affiliates located in the tour cities.

The Best Yet will be available at all physical and digital retail outlets starting November 4th. For more information about Switchfoot, visit their website.
