ThirdDayRevelationcoverart.jpgHold on Third Day fans. Today is the day the band releases their 10th studio album, Revelation.
After 15 years together the band has amassed 25 #1 radio singles, 23 Dove Awards, three Grammy Awards and two consecutive American Music Award nominations, and yet with this album they still manage to offer something fresh, with a glimpse into their own personal faith journey.
“When you get older in your faith, you don’t necessarily have fewer questions,” confesses lead vocalist Mac Powell.

The songs on the album explore the complexities of living out one’s faith in today’s world, and offer some unique collaborations. They teamed up with pedal steel guitar phenomenon Robert Randolph on “Otherside;” Chris Daughtrey adds his vocals to “Slow Down;” and Flyleaf’s Lacey Mosley joins the band on “Run To You” and the ballad, “Born Again.”
In writing and recording Revelation, the guys came to terms with the fact they don’t have all the answers, but they know the One who does, and they can glean comfort and peace in that knowledge.
“Sharing God’s love with people has always been core to us,” says drummer David Carr. “We want to reiterate that God loves us. That is a concept that should never get old.”
And their platform to share that message gets more mainstream every day. The band was recently featured on the cover of Billboard magazine’s June 7, 2008 issue, and was included in the magazine’s May 2 and April 26 issues. They’ve appeared or been highlighted in major media outlets like CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360, “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” NBC Sports, Fox News and MTV.

Third Day is scheduled to appear tonight on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.”
In August, the band will head out on the “Music Builds” tour, with Switchfoot, Robert Randolph and The Family Band, and Jars of Clay. The tour will kick off August 21 in Detroit and end October 12 in Denver.
The tour will benefit Habitat for Humanity. The artists will collectively donate $1 from each ticket sold to Habitat for Humanity; special auctions, merchandise and event packages will also fund Habitat for Humanity in each tour city.
