Here’s today’s dispatch from the crossroads of faith, media and culture.

NBC releases epic trailer for A.D. The Bible Continues. The three-minute promo features clips from the series as well commentary from cast members and  executive producers Mark Burnett and Roma Downey.  With the Book of Acts and Paul’s letters as its foundation and inspiration, the series depicts the perils faced by early Christians in the Middle East in the time immediately following the Crucifixion of Jesus. Particularly given recent headlines, the 2000-year-old story is both timeless and remarkably timely. A.D. The Bible Continues debuts Easter Sunday on NBC.
