Here’s a way to eat less by actually eating (and drinking) more. Before your meal or snack, drink a large, 16oz glass of water, and eat a little fruit or vegetables.

Drinking water is so good for you, in so many ways. It hydrates your body. It gives your stomach a feeling of fullness. It keeps your digestive system running smoothly. It helps flush wastes and impurities out of your system. Importantly to those who want to lose weight, water also releases fat from the system through your kidneys.
Eating some fruit or vegetables as appetizers also fills your stomach with low calories and no-fat fiber. This habit can make you less hungry; taking “the edge” off your cravings and mechanically filling your stomach so there’s less room for the higher-calorie meal.

Try a glass of water with some lemon or lime juice squeezed in. Try some carrots, celery, cucumbers, or dill pickles before the meal.
Always, thank God before eating or drinking, and be thankful for this abundant life you have.
