I wrote the other day that I was just no longer going to worry about the 20 extra pounds I want and need to lose. I said that I was doing something about it, and I am.

I am praying to God as much as possible, praying for His will. I am also praying the Jesus Prayer, an ancient and simple prayer that I’ve made a movie with V.Rev. John McGuckin, and written a book about. For more information on those, go to www.mysteriesoftheJesusprayer.com and click “Join Us” to be in our e-newsletter club, for free stuff: in a couple of days we’re going to be sending out a free song from our new movie music and meditations CD. Don’t miss it.

What IS the “Jesus Prayer?” It involves receiting “Lord Have Mercy,” or the long form, “Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God Have Mercy on Me a Sinner.”. More on that later.

I use prayer to give me inspiration and strength in my efforts to be my best. I pray to know what God wants me to do, and for forgiveness of my personal limits and inabilities to be, or become my best.
So far, the cutting of the carbohydrates has gone well. I’m losing weight, feel good, and have more energy.

I’ve been completely sugar-free, and carbohydrate-free for three full days. This is my fourth day, so far. I’ve been eating lean meats and vegetables, and skipping breads, crackers, rice and pasta. No problem.

I’ll write more as I progress. Let me know how you’re doing, too, please, in a comment below.
