There’s an old secret to weight management, and it’s about time. Taking time to eat slowly, helps you eat less. Waiting to eat a snack, can help you avoid eating it, or overeating, or God forbid, bingeing.

Take your time at a meal. Dish out only as much as you need to eat according to your food plan. Then carefully, methodically chew eat bite about 20 times before swallowing. Take the time. Savor the food. Consider dining a sacred, spiritual experience.

Waiting, taking time to postpone a snack can help a lot too. Sometimes, the urge to eat simply goes away in time. You may be eating out of habit or plain boredom, and waiting helps you get distracted or onto something else.

You have time. Use it wisely. Eat slowly and really enjoy the luxury.
