You know the feeling when you exert yourself for a little while, with lots of oxygen and energy, and then you reach another zone? That feeling athletes call the “second wind.” Kind of like a release or, forgive me, an orgasm?
I felt that yesterday at the gym on the elliptical machine! Not pushing my heart rate beyond what’s safe for me, only within my range of cardiology endurance. After about 10 minutes of being at my limit, I began to feel absolutely great. I always forget that when I begin. I think it will be too hard, or I will get too winded or out if breath. Not so!
Check with your doctor to make sure you can do vigorous cardiology exercise, and what your best heart beat rate is, of course.
