It is the beginning of a new week: things to do from last week, new projects and challenges for this new one.  As you are getting started, you might want to take a peaceful moment, and then a mini-inventory, to gather your personal resources.

Consider taking a short time for quiet contemplation and prayer before beginning the day.  Sit or lay down in a quiet spot, and take a few healing breaths with your eyes closed.  Try not to say or think anything just for a few seconds.  Just “be here” with your self, and the little light of God inside you.  Feel the warm presence in the silence.  Just for this moment, let the needs and problems of the day be set aside.

Now, with another deep breath, say thank you to your Creator.  Say thanks for the life that is you, continuing on, again today.

Now, for just another short moment, allow yourself to think of some good things in your life.  Anything that you feel is good about you, or your situation in life.  In other words, count your blessings.  Take a second to say “thanks” for all that is good and fine.

Finally, take what I call a “mini-inventory;” or a gathering together of what is on your plate, docket, or agenda for the day.  What is the most important task to accomplish today?  What have you been putting-off that’s really important?  Then think of how great you will feel when that is accomplished!  What is the next-most pressing project?  Is it possible to schedule your time today, to get both accomplished?

Now, as you move onward into the day and the accomplishment of your agenda, take that peaceful moment of appreciation and life-awareness with you throughout the day.  If you need some peace and personal power at any point, think of that calm gratitude and emotional and spiritual awareness that is always with you, inside you, at the center of your core.

Have a Godly, wonderful day!
