Again this week, you all have really been terrifically interested and involved, posting some excellent comments.  I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts.  Here is one from Chris, who discovered that what she thought was a little habit caused a lot of problems.  Sometimes, little eating habits in particular can be the culprit in overweight problems.  Here is her post:

“I had a sugar addiction to Altoids. I would eat 2-4 tins of Altoids a day! My husband pointed out to me that I was spending over $3000 a year on Altoids! I tried hard once to give it up and the craving was always there so after 3 months I went back. Then I did yoga teacher training and during the training we did a meditation where we thought of something we wanted to get rid of in our lives and we wrote it on a paper and then all the papers were gathered and burned and the smoke was directed out the windows. After this experience my craving disappeared after a few weeks. No more cravings and it has never come back. This technique kind of reminds me of Dr. Norris and praying. I have also lost 20 lbs by eating better. I agree with the poster that the more sugar you eat, the more you crave.”

This apparently “little” revelation really added up, didn’t it?  I also love it how Chris, you not only identified the habit, but you took action on it, which added up to much more positive efforts.  I love, use and teach some of the techniques that she mentions here, and I hope you, dear reader, will too.

Do YOU have an example or experience like Chris had, where a little habit was really a big problem in disguise? Join the discussion and tell us about it by posting below.
