Sometimes everyone needs a little break.

Perhaps you need to take a day
off or do something different with your weekend. Recharge yourself; do
something invigorating, restorative, or restful.
Take an afternoon to go to a history museum and check
out what other people did with their lives: how they dressed, what they
did for housing or for recreation. Or go to an art museum to look at
paintings, sculpture, or photographs. Try to imagine the artist’s mind
or life at the moment they created their work.
Try taking a train or bus to the next city over, and going on a tour.

Learn about your neighbors and the city’s history. Do something totally
different – go to a state forest to hike or meditate in the woods, go
to an amusement park, or go to the theater for a live play or concert.
If you get a day off for a mini-vacation, be sure to appreciate the
opportunity and be grateful to God for it. Start the day with a prayer
appreciating what God has given you.

Ask God to show you how to make
the vacation wonderful! Then pray for guidance and peace throughout the
day.
